Elizabeth Lorenzi, Ph.D.

Senior Statistical Scientist

Liz Lorenzi is a Senior Statistical Scientist at Berry Consultants. She has expertise in Bayesian approaches to clinical trial design. She specializes in adaptive clinical trials, Bayesian methods for incorporating historical and external data, and statistical methodologies tailored to complex clinical questions. Her work spans stroke, critical care, and rare diseases, where she has helped design trials ranging from focused proof-of-concept studies to large adaptive platform trials. Liz has contributed to practice-changing clinical development programs and has published methodological and applied research in journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Stroke, and Statistics in Medicine. Liz received her PhD in Statistical Science from Duke University, where her research focused on machine learning and causal inference methods for precision medicine.
