Elias Laurin Meyer, Ph.D.

Elias Laurin Meyer is a Statistical Scientist at Berry Consultants, based in Vienna, Austria, focused on innovative clinical trial design and simulation. He earned his BSc and MSc in statistics from the University of Vienna and completed his PhD in 2022 at the Medical University of Vienna, where he spent seven years working as a biostatistical consultant for academic trials, lecturer, and project researcher. Prior to joining Berry Consultants in 2023, Dr. Meyer gained industry experience through secondments at Roche and Novartis, and contributed to regulatory interactions, including FDA CPIM and EMA ITF meetings, focused on the design and simulation of a platform trial in MASH. He has first-authored eight peer-reviewed publications and contributed to more than forty additional peer-reviewed papers. Earlier in his career, he worked as an EMT and ambulance driver, and served as an expert biostatistics reviewer for the Viennese Ethics Committee. Drawing on experience across traditional and innovative statistical methods, as well as emergency medicine and ethics review, he brings a pragmatic and patient-centered perspective to clinical research.
